South Mumbai Beckons!!!

No TV Day was an initiative by Hindustan Times newspaper and I made the most of it by planning a visit all alone to South Mumbai or 'town' as it is famously called.

So here I was on 1st June a Saturday to enjoy a much- needed 'me time'.I took the local train for CST and walked it up to Regal cinema. After that I waited a while for the heritage ride organised by the said newspaper that would take us around the lanes of South Mumbai to see the spectacular buildings and places of interest in that area. The architecture of the buildings in that area has always fascinated me.As a student of BTTC ,a well-known teacher training college near Regal,I spent two years commuting to CST and enjoying some great moments in the vicinity.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself that day and got the much-needed break from cell-phones,television,cooking and school work. The heritage bus ride, museum visit, ferry ride, visit to the Jehangir Art Gallery and to end it up,I went to the Gateway of India.
